This week in games: Bob Ross invades XCOM, a new Deponia, Half-Life 3 confirmed? - harklessdampt1969

This class we preclude Feb, the most dispiriting calendar month, with a celebration: Gas-trafficking, anti-video games ex-California State Senator Leland Yee is heading to prison house for five years. Couldn't have happened to a better make fun.

That plus a new Deponia, new Half life 3 hints, and Dock Ross in XCOM 2—this is video recording game tidings for the week of February 22 – 26.

Free-for-all

Another weekend, another temporarily-footloose Steamer game. Head to your games ingathering and you'll spot Birdsong of Responsibility: Inglorious Ops III's multiplayer. It's free until 1 p.m. Pacific along Su if you need a quick dose of wallrunning-and-gunning.

Violent Video Games

Other bit of 1990's nostalgia down this bound: Postal Redux, an HD update of the original Postal a.k.a. the predecessor to pissing-simulator Postal 2. The original looks pretty strange by today's standards, given the isometric artistic production style.

Postal Redux

Is Communication some good? Not very. Not even as good as Postal 2. Did information technology deserve a remake? I don't jazz. Probably not. But I'm passing to play information technology at any rate, because anti-ferocious picture games crusader Leland Yee is going away to prison house for racketeering and it feels like as good a means as any to lionise. I'll be keeping an eyeball out for the remake.

And past in that location were four

Surprise! A new Deponia game releases adjacent Tuesday. What, you didn't know? Yeah, cipher did. Somehow (and somehow) Daedalic kept the existence of Deponia Doom under wraps until this calendar week, putting stunned an "Announcement Trailer" four years before the game's release. If information technology brings its point-and-click A-brave like the rest of the series, I'm definitely interested.

True colors

Straight from the land of "Dogged-Version-Of-Pop-Song" Tropesville comes this other Dark Souls Tercet trailer. It's in reality pretty spectacular if you can get down past the sad-sack version of Cyndi Lauper playing over top.

I'm a bus

If the hoi polloi at Astragon Entertainment were really "hip to the kids," this trailer for Bus Simulator '16 would've featured a children's choir telling "Wheels on the Autobus" while a broken organ wheezed in the background. Regrettably, it is fair a uninteresting ol' fortunate drone instead.

1.21 gigawatts

Virtual reality is right around the corner, and if you're planning to drop $600-800 along a headset I'm sure you're rocking a pretty great computing device. But how great? Hera comes Valve with its very own SteamVR Performance Test, a pretty simplistic (and free) bench mark that simulates how your electronic computer might handle the HTC Vive.

An ego-boost so naturalistic, you feel like you could reach out and relate information technology.

Fractional-Animation 3 con—oh, forget it

Speech production of that SteamVR Functioning Test: The Half-Life 3/Leftmost 4 Dead 3 faithful dug up some files again. A circumstances of files. There's a thread ended at Valve Time compiling all the weird stuff that's been found hidden inside the Execution Trial, including a hi-RES model of Half-Life 2's Dog and a bunch of textures hidden in a Left 4 Dead 3 directory.

Plane to a greater extent interesting (to ME, leastwise) is a partial VR demo diversion of Valve's post in Bellevue. (See below.)

Na sodium Na atomic number 11 et cetera Batman

Last fall I bought the DeLorean for Rocket Conference and it's been a fantastic investment—easily the best DLC purchase I've of all time made. But now they'Ra adding the blame Batmobile and I'm sorry Marty McFly but you might get on your way impermissible.

Well-chosen accidents

This week in weird XCOM 2 mods: Tail Betsy Ross. Everyone's favorite Twitch-streaming painter now has his really own voice pack, bringing a trifle loony toons to transactions even as his entire team is mercilessly gunned down. Happy accidents indeed.
